Stored away for 6 years, 6 years worth of DV footage, untouched by time's passage.
I seek to rediscover the essence of these personal memories in the nature of light by dismantling all of them recorded in DV format and returning them into light itself. These light that travelled all the way from six years ago to this very moment. The light waves carry information, but I am uncertain if they hold more than just information — perhaps sensations, experiences that can't be revisited unless viewed outside the possibilities captured by the machine at that time.
Anyone who ventures into my memories has the power to reshape them. The closer you come, the more you hear, the more you know.

NEVER HAVE I EVER is a media artwork created by Natalie Isdoingokay.
In the exploration of the intricate relationship between Human & Machine in our compelling era, she challenges the traditional notions of truth and deception within humanity, delving into the realm of Artificial Intelligence-generated identities.
Premiered at the esteemed 29th ifva Festival in Hong Kong, 2024. NEVER HAVE I EVER signifies Natalie's debut into the art world and garnered the prestigious GOLD AWARD in the Media Art Category at the 29th ifva Awards.
Juror Bryan Chung said 'The artist also demonstrated her courage to confront her own “selves” in different ages through the lies uttered by the collection of her AI animated identity photos.'
